Practical Nursing Curriculum (48 Credits)

The Brookline College Practical Nursing program is designed to prepare you for an entry-level position as a Licensed Practical Nurse in various healthcare settings. Our Practical Nursing courses will provide you with the requisite theory and skills to become a competent, safe, and effective team member of any healthcare practice. Our program meets or exceeds all requirements for practical nursing programs as identified by the New Mexico Board of Nursing.

Our Practical Nursing program is delivered through a blended approach with online course content that compliments the in-class, lab, simulation, and clinical experiences. As a student in the Practical Nursing program, you will explore the role of a Licensed Practical Nurse in promoting health and wellness for both individuals and communities. Our Practical Nursing classes will also help you establish the framework to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to patient-centered nursing care.

Finally, as a Practical Nursing program graduate, you will be qualified to take the NCLEX-PN exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Earning your LPN license will enable you to work in the state of New Mexico.
