The Medical Insurance Billing and Coding Diploma Program provides training for entry-level positions in private physicians’ offices, clinics and hospitals. Courses expose students to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) CMS 1500 form, Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Insurance Processing. In this medical billing and coding certification program, you will take classes that include: Concepts in Health Care, Medical Office Administration, and Insurance Processing and Medical Coding Systems, among others. Additionally, our program includes an externship where you will have the opportunity to experience the Medical Insurance Billing and Coding profession firsthand, working closely with patients, doctors, administrators and other health care personnel. NOTE: The online program has a capstone course in place of the externship.
