The testing that is conducted by Medical Laboratory Technicians plays an important role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of many diseases. Medical Laboratory Technicians are responsible for specimen collection, processing and analysis in the areas of blood bank, chemistry, hematology, immunology/serology, microbiology and urinalysis using manual, automated and computerized equipment. Upon completion, graduates will have acquired the skills required for entry-level positions in a variety of healthcare settings.
