This program provides patient care technician training for entry-level positions to effectively function in the role of a patient care technician in a clinic, hospital, urgent care facility, rehabilitation facility or other health care environment. Brookline aims at giving students health care education and experience in a variety of classroom and procedural capacities, ensuring they receive a well-rounded diploma education. The Patient Care lab contains congruent materials and equipment that you may use on the job. Our program includes an externship where you will have the opportunity to act as a patient care tech firsthand, working closely with patients, doctors, nurses and other health care personnel.

Graduates will have the opportunity to use their patient care education, skills and knowledge in such areas as patient interaction, medical office administration, pharmacology, laboratory practices, electrocardiography and clinical patient care practices. They will also be able to appropriately assess patient/client situations and intervene within their scope of practice. These skills can be applied in an urgent care setting, a hospital, rehabilitation facility or other clinical setting.
