Medical Insurance and Coding Specialist
Diploma Program
This program is offered at Oklahoma City Campus only.
Students will gain workplace/office skills, keyboarding, office practices and customer service, medical terminology, computer applications, computerized medical billing, medical terminology, procedural and diagnostic coding, and health insurance processing. Graduates of this program will have the skills and knowledge to attain an entry-level position as a health insurance claims processor or coder in medical office practices such as physician offices, medical clinics, and long- and short-term care facilities. Students attend a minimum of 16 hours per week for 58 weeks.
