Patient care techs often have more contact with patients than any other health care member and are an important factor in patient recovery. Their duties include monitoring and recording vital signs, collecting and testing specimens, and assisting patients with mobility, nutritional needs, grooming, and personal hygiene under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
