Nursing Assistant Certificate Program in Phoenix and Tempe, AZ

$1,595 | 146 hours, 7-weeks

The purpose of the Brookline Nursing Assistant certificate program is to provide individuals with an educational program leading to an entry-level position in the field of health care. Our nursing assistant classes provide students with the requisite theory and skills to become competent, safe nursing assistants. The program meets or exceeds all requirements for nursing assistant programs as identified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Students who successfully complete this nursing education program are eligible to take the Arizona State Board of Nursing certification examination for nursing assistants.

Nursing Assistants provide hands-on care and perform routine tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. They help patients to eat, dress, and bathe and often take a patient’s temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, or blood pressure. They also answer calls for help, deliver messages, serve meals, make beds, and tidy up rooms. Nursing Assistants also observe patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the nursing or medical staff. Those employed in nursing care facilities often are the principle caregivers and have more contact with residents than do other members of the staff.

Career Opportunities May Include:

  • Long Term Care Facilities
  • Rehabilitation Settings
  • General Hospitals
  • Private Homes
